Alba Kola is completing her doctorate in clinical psychology and is getting specialty training in behavioral medicine techniques, such as relaxation skills, biofeedback, CBT, and DBT at Boston Behavioral Medicine. All of her work is done in the context of a warm, accepting relationship with her clients. At Boston Behavioral Medicine, Alba works with children and families in developing adaptive skills using relaxation-based treatments, activity pacing, problem-solving, and replacing negative and catastrophic thoughts with more calm, positive and realistic ones. She provided neuropsychological assessments as well as residential services to children ages six to twelve years old struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, developmental trauma, anxiety disorders, major depression, and various behavioral issues. Alba is also fluent in Albanian and Spanish.
